No panic: depending on the carrier delivering your order, several solutions are available to retrieve your parcel. Here is the procedure to follow.

1. Check the delivery notice

In most cases, the driver leaves a delivery notice in your mailbox or on your door. This notice indicates:

  • Where your parcel is now (depot, pickup point)
  • If a new delivery is automatically scheduled
  • The carrier's contact details to arrange a new delivery
  • The reference number to keep

If no notice was left, don't worry — you can still track your parcel online (see next step).

2. Check your tracking link

The tracking link received by email at shipment provides you in real time:

  • The current status of your parcel (pending, deposited at relay, in transit...)
  • The exact address of the pickup point or depot where it awaits you
  • The opening hours of the collection point
  • The deadline to collect it

Tip: your tracking link is in the shipment confirmation email sent by motorkit.com. Remember to check your spam/junk folder if you can't find it.

3. What happens next? By carrier

Each carrier has its own procedure after a missed delivery:

bpost

  • 2nd automatic delivery the next working day at the same address
  • If new absence: deposit at the nearest post office or post point
  • Collection time: generally 15 days before return to sender
  • Possibility to request a delivery at another time or modify the address via bpost.be or the bpost app

DPD

  • Delivery notice with deposit at Pickup Parcelshop
  • You can modify the address, date or request a relay delivery via the DPD tracking link
  • Collection time at relay: 7 days in general
  • The DPD Belgium app also allows you to manage the delivery

UPS

  • In case of absence: 3 delivery attempts over 3 consecutive working days
  • After the 3rd attempt: deposit at a UPS Access Point (relay)
  • You can modify the delivery (date, address, pickup point) via ups.com
  • Collection time at relay: 7 days

4. Your concrete options to retrieve the parcel

Depending on your situation, several choices are available:

Collect the parcel yourself

  1. Check the tracking link to identify the pickup point or depot
  2. Bring an ID and the delivery notice (or the tracking number)
  3. Check the opening hours before travelling
  4. Collect your parcel within the timeframe granted by the carrier

Request a redelivery to your address

  • Contact the carrier directly via its website or app
  • Specify your tracking number and the desired date
  • Some carriers also offer a specific time slot
  • This option is not always free or available — check with the carrier

Change the delivery location

  • Most carriers (DPD, UPS) allow you to redirect your parcel to:
  • A more convenient pickup point
  • An alternative address (work, neighbour, family)
  • A secure parcel locker

5. Watch the deadlines!

⏱️ If you don't collect your parcel within the granted timeframe, the carrier automatically returns it to motorkit.com.

Consequences:

  • ⏳ Additional delay to get it to you again
  • ? Reshipping fees may apply
  • ? More complex procedure than direct collection at relay

Our advice: act quickly as soon as you know your parcel is pending, ideally within 48 to 72 hours.

6. How to avoid this inconvenience in the future?

A few tips to never miss a delivery again:

  • Track your parcel in real time via the tracking link
  • Enable SMS/email notifications from the carrier
  • ✅ When ordering, choose a pickup point if you're often away
  • ✅ If possible, provide an office address or trusted person's address
  • ✅ Check that your mailbox is well identified (name + number)
