How to use a coupon or promo code?
You have a discount code that you wish to use on your motorkit.com order? Here is everything you need to know to apply it correctly, regardless of its origin.
1. The different types of codes you may have
On motorkit.com, several types of codes can be used:
Loyalty voucher
Generated from the conversion of your loyalty points accumulated on your previous purchases. For more information on the loyalty programme and points conversion, consult the article "The motorkit.com loyalty programme".
Promotional code
Received as part of a marketing operation: seasonal promotion, newsletter, welcome code, sales, etc.
Gift or referral code
Received from someone close to you or as part of a specific motorkit.com operation.
Whatever the type of code, the usage procedure is identical.
2. How to use your coupon: step-by-step procedure
Step 1: Prepare your order
- Browse on motorkit.com
- Add the desired products to your cart
Step 2: Enter your code in the cart
- Click on the cart icon at the top right of the site
- Locate the "Promo code / Coupon" field (usually below the article list)
- Enter your code exactly as it was communicated to you (mind upper/lower case)
- Click on Add or Apply
Step 3: Verify the application
The discount appears automatically in your cart summary:
- The initial amount of the products
- The applied discount (in value or percentage according to the code)
- The new total to pay
If everything is correct, validate your order as usual.
3. Terms of use
For your code to work correctly, here are the general conditions to respect:
Minimum order amount
Vouchers from the loyalty programme are usable on orders of a minimum amount of 10 € excl. VAT. This threshold may differ for promotional codes — it is generally specified upon their communication.
Validity period
All codes have a limited validity period:
- Loyalty vouchers: valid for 360 days from their generation
- Promo codes: the duration varies by operation (generally between 1 week and 3 months)
- Expiry date always indicated in your customer account or in the email upon receipt of the code
Cumulation of codes
Generally, only one code can be used per order. If you have several valid codes, choose the most advantageous one for your purchase.
Customer account required
To use a coupon, you must be logged into your customer account. Codes cannot be applied during a guest order.
4. My code doesn't work, what should I do?
If the code you enter does not apply, check these points in order:
✅ Checks to perform
- Exact spelling: copy-paste the code from the email or your account rather than retyping it manually
- Upper/lower case: some codes are case-sensitive
- Stray spaces: check for the absence of a space before or after the code
- Validity date: has the code expired?
- Minimum amount: does your cart reach the required threshold? (10 € excl. VAT for loyalty vouchers)
- Customer account: are you properly logged in? (guest order = no coupon possible)
- Cumulation: have you already applied another code?
- Type of items: some codes are restricted to specific categories
None of these points solves the problem?
Contact us at support@motorkit.com specifying:
- The code you are trying to use
- The type of code (loyalty, promo, gift, referral)
- The error message displayed (if any)
- The composition of your cart (product references, total amount)
- A screenshot if possible
Our team will respond within 24 hours on working days (Monday to Friday).
5. My loyalty points are not displayed
If you do not see your points in your account although you have placed an order, check:
- You are properly logged into your customer account
- Your previous order is properly validated and delivered (points are credited after effective delivery)
- Your payment has been properly finalised (neither pending nor refused)
If after these checks the points still do not appear, contact us at support@motorkit.com specifying the relevant order number.
