You have changed your mind about a motorkit.com product and wish to return it? This is your right, and we facilitate this process within the legal framework of withdrawal. Here is everything you need to know.

⚠️ Important information before you start

This procedure concerns voluntary returns only (withdrawal / change of mind).

The return is voluntary, at your initiative, and the return shipping costs are therefore at your charge — as the law provides for this type of request.

This procedure does NOT concern:

  • Defective, damaged or broken products
  • Warranty requests (failure after use, malfunction)
  • Technical questions about installation or use
  • Errors in the delivered order (wrong product, missing)

For these situations, return costs are at our charge. Consult the dedicated articles or contact motorkit.com customer service.

1. The right of withdrawal: what the law says

In accordance with European law, you benefit from a legal withdrawal period for any online purchase. motorkit.com grants you 15 days from the receipt of your parcel to exercise this right, which is one day more than the European legal minimum (14 days).

Important to understand:

  • Withdrawal is a right of the consumer (you change your mind freely)
  • It implies no fault on our part
  • The return shipping costs are therefore at your charge
  • The refund concerns the price of the returned product(s) (see section 7)

2. Return conditions

For a return to be accepted and result in a refund, the product must imperatively:

  • ✅ Be new and unused
  • ✅ Show no signs of installation (tightened screws, tool marks, test marks)
  • ✅ Not be damaged
  • ✅ Be returned in its complete original packaging (box, instructions, bags, accessories)
  • ✅ Be properly protected for transport (over-packaging if necessary)

3. Non-returnable products

Some products cannot be refunded:

  • Installed or used products (even partially)
  • Products returned after the deadline of 15 legal days
  • Electrical or electronic parts that may have been installed or tested (CDI, regulators, sensors, etc.)

These products will be returned to the customer at their charge. Remember to carefully check compatibility before starting installation: in case of doubt, contact us.

4. Possible repackaging fees

If the condition of the returned product does not respect the above conditions, restoration fees may be deducted from the refund:

CaseAmount deducted
Cleaning of the product5 €
Repackaging5 €
Absence of the original barcode5 €

These fees are cumulative if several cases apply. To avoid any deduction: keep the packaging intact and only unpack the product to inspect it visually, without handling or testing it.

5. Steps to make a return

Step 1: Log into your customer account

  1. Go to motorkit.com
  2. Log in with your email and password

? If you ordered as a guest (without creating an account), contact customer service via the contact page so that we can create your account. This is the first mandatory step to process your return.

Step 2: Start the withdrawal request

  1. Click on "Product withdrawal" in your customer area
  2. Select the relevant order
  3. Choose the item or items to return
  4. You can indicate a reason for return (optional, but useful to improve our service)
  5. Click on Send

Step 3: Track the processing

  2. Your request will be processed within 12 to 24 hours (working days)
  3. Once validated, you will receive a return confirmation by email

Step 4: Download and print the return slip

Once your request is validated:

  1. Go to My account → My returns
  2. Download and print the return slip
  3. Place this return slip in the parcel you are going to ship

⚠️ Important: this document is NOT a prepaid return label.

It only serves to identify your return with our service (customer, order and product). You must:

  • Print this document and place it inside the parcel
  • Buy your own shipping label from the carrier of your choice
  • Stick your label on the outside of the parcel (and not the return slip)

Step 5: Ship your parcel

Send your parcel to the following address:

Motorkit – Service Retours 12 rue des Français 4430 Ans Belgium

6. Tips for a successful return

Choose a carrier with tracking (bpost, DPD, UPS, Mondial Relay...). In case of dispute over the delivery of the return, the tracking number is your only proof.

Keep the proof of shipment until confirmation of the refund.

For valuable products (>50 €), consider transport insurance: motorkit.com cannot be held responsible for damage occurring during the return.

Pack carefully: a product received damaged due to poor return packaging may be refused for refund.

7. The refund

Time

Once your return is received and checked by our team, the refund is processed within a maximum of 14 days (usually faster).

Method

The refund is automatically processed to the original payment method used at the time of order:

  • Payment by credit card → refund to the card
  • Payment by Bancontact / iDEAL → refund to the bank account
  • Payment by bank transfer → refund by bank transfer
  • Payment by Klarna → refund via Klarna

Refunded amount

The refund covers the price of the returned item(s), provided that the return conditions (section 2) are respected.

Outbound shipping costs:

  • If your outbound shipping costs were free for your order (free shipping threshold, ongoing promotion, free delivery): no refund is due in this respect, since these costs were not invoiced
  • If your outbound shipping costs were invoiced for your order: their possible refund is processed in accordance with the legislation in force

The refund does not cover:

  • ❌ The return shipping costs (at your charge, see step 5)
  • ❌ The possible repackaging fees (see section 4)

8. A question before or during your return?

For any question about the return procedure, contact us via the contact page or at support@motorkit.com specifying your order number.
